Miss Tourism Africa 2025 picks Plateau State as host; Jos to welcome 50 international delegates in a landmark cultural and tourism event

Miss Tourism Africa 2025 Plateau State has been officially announced, with Jos, the state capital, selected as the host city for the fourth season of the prestigious continental pageant.

The Miss Tourism Africa and Mister Tourism Africa International Organisation confirmed the announcement, spotlighting Plateau’s stunning landscapes and rich tourism heritage as key reasons for the selection.

This year’s finale will bring together 50 international delegates from across Africa 30 women vying for the Miss Tourism Africa crown and 20 men competing in the Mister Tourism Africa International category.

Governor Caleb Mutfwang, through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Hospitality, has fully endorsed the 2025 edition, positioning it as a flagship initiative for cultural promotion and youth empowerment under his administration.

Dr. Raymond Okonkwo, Patron of the initiative, described Jos as “Africa’s Home of Peace and Tourism,” saying the event will unveil Plateau’s untapped beauty to the world.

Seth Santiago Roberts, Founder of the organization, added that Jos was “intentionally chosen” for its scenic views, cultural diversity, and peaceful environment.
