Founded in 2008 by Nigerian fashion entrepreneur Joan Okorodudu, the agency has evolved from a local talent management outfit into a globally respected institution.

Strategic partnerships with leading agencies worldwide, including Studio 24 and Select Model Management, have enabled African models to access sustainable international careers.

Okorodudu emphasised that the agency’s mission has always been to ensure African talent is both respected and celebrated globally. “We train, expose, and connect our models to the right platforms,” she said. “Our goal is long-term international careers, not just seasonal appearances.”

The agency is widely recognised for producing some of the highest numbers of working Black models internationally. Its talents regularly appear in major fashion weeks, editorial campaigns, and luxury brand endorsements.

At Milan and New York fashion weeks, models from ISIS Models Africa have commanded attention across both haute couture and ready-to-wear showcases.

A flagship initiative, Africa’s Next Super Model, has been instrumental in discovering and preparing young models for international success.

Through this programme, in partnership with Select Model Management, emerging African models gain access to global platforms, transforming their careers.

Beyond fashion, Okorodudu has made a global impact through philanthropic initiatives, including the Runways to Freedom Foundation and contributions to Vogue Talent for Africa, raising €100,000 to support young talents.

Her efforts earned her a lifetime achievement award from President Joe Biden in 2024.

Okorodudu credited her success to discipline, training, and a commitment to inclusivity.

The agency nurtures talents from diverse backgrounds, including underserved and refugee communities, reshaping narratives around African excellence and opportunity.

“ISIS Models Africa is not just building models; we are building global citizens,” Okorodudu said. “The world is beginning to understand that African talent is not a trend; it is the future.”
