Nigerian comedian and entertainer Gbenga Adeyinka 1st is set to bring the grand finale of the Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka & Friends 2026 tour to Lagos on Sunday, November 15, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island.
Laughter Incorporated Ventures, the event organiser, announced that the show, tagged “Lagos Gets the Last Laugh,” will begin at 3 pm and conclude a tour that has visited cities in Nigeria, Canada and the United Kingdom.
The 2026 tour has held editions in Ibadan, Akure, Calgary, London, Ontario, Toronto and Abeokuta, with Lagos selected as the final destination.
For Adeyinka, the Lagos finale represents more than the conclusion of a touring comedy show. It is also a homecoming to the city that played a significant role in shaping his entertainment career more than three decades ago.
The comedian developed his craft through performances and interactions with audiences in Lagos, making the city an important part of his journey in the entertainment industry.
The Lagos finale will feature comedy, music, culture and fashion under the theme “The Next Chapter: A New Season of Laughter.”
The event will also mark the conclusion of the Laffmattazz tour’s 15th anniversary year, alongside a celebration of Adeyinka’s more than 30 years in entertainment.
According to the organisers, the show is expected to bring together audiences for an evening of entertainment while highlighting the cultural experiences that have helped sustain the Laffmattazz brand over the years.
Laughter Incorporated Ventures acknowledged FirstBank, the tour’s sponsor across Nigeria and Canada, for its contribution to bringing the Lagos finale to the stage.
The company also disclosed that preparations were underway to bring additional sponsors and brand partners on board ahead of the event.
The organisers said the Lagos finale presents an opportunity for prospective sponsors to connect with audiences through comedy and shared cultural experiences.
The planned partnerships are expected to support the event as the tour reaches its final destination for the year.
With stops across several cities already completed, the Lagos show will close the 2026 edition of Laffmattazz in the city where Adeyinka’s entertainment journey began, combining a major career milestone with the 15th anniversary of the comedy tour.
