The Headies has rescheduled its 18th awards edition to April 10 and 11, 2027, in Toronto, Canada, with industry events continuing

The organisers announced the revised schedule in a statement shared on the awards’ official Instagram page, @the_headies, on Monday, October 12.

According to the statement, the change is intended to create more opportunities for engagement across the music and creative industries.

Despite the postponement, activities under the Road to the Headies initiative will continue during the period originally scheduled for the ceremony.

The organisers said the programme would feature workshops, seminars and other industry engagements ahead of the main awards event.

They also apologised to guests who had already made travel plans and other arrangements, acknowledging the inconvenience caused by the change in dates.

The 18th edition is expected to bring together artistes, music executives and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry in Toronto for the two-day event.
