Faaji December has earned a reputation as one of the Southwest’s premier December events, featuring food fairs, live music, cultural parades, fashion showcases, and traditional art exhibitions.

With government backing and Amaland’s involvement, organisers anticipate that the 2025 festival will be the largest and most dynamic edition to date.

Empowering Youth and Celebrating Culture

Festival coordinators explained that the collaboration aims to spotlight Yoruba cultural identity while supporting young creatives in music, dance, film, fashion, and visual arts.

Events will include open-air concerts, talent showcases, cultural performances, and curated exhibitions highlighting indigenous crafts, masquerades, and culinary traditions.

The partnership also seeks to encourage community engagement and expand opportunities for emerging talents, providing a platform for both established and rising stars to gain visibility.

Ibadan tourism promoters are optimistic, as December is a peak travel period. The festival is expected to attract visitors from across Nigeria and the diaspora, boosting hotel occupancy, local vendors, and hospitality services.

The Oyo State Government views the festival as a key part of its strategy to revive tourism corridors and support creative employment across the state.
