The event, scheduled for 6 and 7 August, will precede the grand finale of the Osun-Osogbo Festival on 8 August.

Speaking at a press briefing in Osogbo, Ojo said the event is strategically designed to showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage while drawing visitors from across Nigeria and the African continent.

“It is expected that participants will take advantage of the expo to also attend the grand finale of the Osun-Osogbo Festival,” he stated.

The first day of the event will feature the Osun Cycling Tourism Challenge and the Youth Tourism Challenge. Day two will include a historical tour, business networking, cultural performances, and an award night.

Ojo described the expo as a premier platform to connect communities, entrepreneurs, and tourism professionals. “This expo will redefine the future of tourism in our region,” he said, emphasising its alignment with global trends in sustainable and cultural tourism.

The commissioner invited stakeholders across the tourism, hospitality, tech, and creative industries to support and participate. “Tourism is not a one-man show,” he added, calling for strategic partnerships to strengthen the sector.
