Organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MTAC), the summit carried the theme, “Unlocking the Potential and Opportunities of Lagos Tourism: Collaboration and Partnership for A Greater Lagos.”

Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka, highlighted Lagos’ rich cultural mosaic and emphasised the need for collaboration to position the state as a globally competitive tourism destination.

“The continued growth of Lagos as a top destination for leisure, business, and cultural experiences requires strategic partnerships across tourism, hospitality, and entertainment sectors,” she said.

Safety was a key focus, with the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC) outlining its “Four Es of Safety”—Engineering, Education, Enforcement, and Evaluation—to ensure secure hospitality and recreational spaces during the festive season.

Lagos Ferry Services also announced plans to scale up waterways mobility, including a pilot Water Taxi Initiative connecting Ibeju-Lekki-Epe-Victoria Island, enhancing safety and easing traffic congestion.
