Abeokuta Polo Festival Set to Boost Sport and Tourism

The Abeokuta Polo Festival debuts on December 21, 2025, showcasing polo, culture, tourism, and community development in Ogun State

The Abeokuta Polo Club has announced that the inaugural edition of its Polo Festival will take place on Sunday, 21 December 2025.

The festival aims to combine world-class polo action with cultural celebration and community development.

Dr Sheriff Adams Abdulrahman, President of the Abeokuta Polo Club, revealed the date in a statement to journalists in the Ogun State capital, describing the festival as a defining experience set to create fresh economic opportunities within the local community.

“The festival will feature elite hospitality, networking opportunities, and an unforgettable display of elegance and tradition,” Abdulrahman said.

He added that the event would elevate the profile of polo in Ogun State while fostering social and economic growth for the host community.

The inaugural festival will showcase sport, tourism, and culture, positioning Abeokuta as a destination for investment and recreation. Abdulrahman highlighted the club’s commitment to using sport as a platform for unity, cultural exchange, and regional development.
