The rehabilitation project covers Oladipo Bateye Road, Tayo Ayeni Road, Adeyemi Adeoba Road and Sowemimo Road within Ikeja GRA in Ikeja Local Government Area.

The project is being executed by Slavabogu Nigeria Limited under the supervision of the Lagos State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure through the Office of Infrastructure.

The initiative forms part of the state government’s broader “Greater Lagos Rising” agenda, which focuses on upgrading road networks and critical infrastructure across Lagos State.

A project signboard mounted at the site described the development as “Tax Payers Money in Action,” highlighting government emphasis on public infrastructure delivery.

Residents of Ikeja GRA have long called for rehabilitation of several roads in the area due to increased vehicular pressure and ageing road surfaces.

The reconstruction is expected to improve accessibility, reduce travel delays and enhance the overall environment of the highbrow neighbourhood.

Oladipo Bateye Road, one of the key roads under reconstruction, serves as an important route linking residential estates, commercial outlets and institutional facilities within the axis.

While the project has been welcomed by residents, attention remains on the speed and quality of execution as work progresses.
