Vibing December Oyo brings music, cultural festivals, and entertainment across the state, creating a festive holiday season for residents and tourists


The Oyo State government has announced the maiden edition of #Vibing December Oyo, a month-long carnival set to showcase the state’s rich cultural heritage and entertain residents, tourists, and returning diaspora visitors throughout December.

The initiative is part of Governor Seyi Makinde’s plan to fully unlock the state’s tourism potential during the yuletide season.

The carnival, also known as Faaji December, will not be limited to Ibadan alone but will take place across various towns in the state.

Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, assured that security measures have been put in place to protect lives and properties before, during, and after the festivities.

Scheduled to kick off in the first week of December, the carnival promises an unforgettable holiday experience with a wide range of activities and entertainment options catering to all tastes.

Highlights include the Legendary December with a beer village at designated centres, Fantasyland variety program, Ogbomoso Cradle Carnival, Oyo Durbar, Amaland Festival, Atewolara Festival, Hotel Vibes, Ojude UI, and artistes’ hangouts and concerts.

Governor Makinde is expected to officially launch #Vibing December Oyo, underscoring the state’s commitment to creating a safe, fun, and community-driven celebration.

The event also presents significant opportunities for local businesses and residents to showcase their talents, boosting the local economy while promoting tourism.
