The venue, located in the state capital, is a project of the Anambra State Government and aims to boost leisure, tourism and the creative industry.
Speaking during a press conference on Wednesday, the Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, announced that the official launch will feature performances by Umuobiligbo, Ojadili, Onye Obodo, and other top musicians and comedians.
He noted that the facility was commissioned earlier by President Bola Tinubu, but this public launch marks the full opening for leisure and entertainment activities.
“The event will not only mark the grand opening but will also position Anambra as a rising destination for creative investment. Solution FunCity is a private-sector-led initiative and would operate independently of government bureaucracy,” Onyenji explained.
Mr Mohamed Farrag, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Solution FunCity Limited, confirmed the recruitment of 85 staff in preparation for the launch.
He revealed that the park would offer affordable entertainment compared to other facilities across the country. Plans are already underway for daily events, promotional packages and family-focused activities designed to attract local and international investors.
The facility includes a cinema, a waterpark with six swimming pools, dedicated areas for children, games and other features that promise wholesome entertainment.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo is expected to grace the occasion, alongside other dignitaries and creatives from across Nigeria.
