Demonstrating its continued commitment to the preservation and promotion of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, MTN Nigeria proudly supported this year’s Lisabi Festival.

The brand’s sponsorship underscores its dedication to celebrating the history, glamour, and craftsmanship inherent in such significant cultural events.

Months leading up to the festival, Egba families passionately engaged in selecting fabrics, commissioning skilled tailors, and acquiring statement pieces to distinguish themselves at the event.

This year’s Lisabi Festival witnessed a resplendent display of fashion and splendour, where every gele tilt, agbada swirl, and adire pattern told a story rich in culture and pride,” the report highlights.

The anticipation culminated in a breathtaking display of sartorial elegance on the festival day.

Egba women graced the occasion in heavily embroidered adire, resplendent aso-oke in deep wine and gold hues, and regal beads, their towering geles making a striking statement.

The men were equally impressive, donning flowing agbadas, perfectly positioned velvet caps, and handcrafted leather shoes that exuded class and confidence.

Attendees made grand entrances, some on horseback, others with confident strides, collectively underscoring that Egba fashion is a true art form. The festival served as a powerful testament to the rich cultural heritage and vibrant artistic expression within the Egba community.
