Lagos State tourism takes center stage as 2Baba headlines the African Cultural Festival in Pennsylvania, reinforcing culture, creativity, and collaboration

Lagos State tourism is set to receive a major boost as the government confirmed its participation in the upcoming African Cultural Festival in Pennsylvania, United States, scheduled for September 19 to 21, 2025.

Afrobeats superstar Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, will headline the festival, thrilling audiences with his legendary hit African Queen and other classics.

Billboard recently ranked the track as the Greatest Afrobeats Song of All Time, a testament to its cultural and global significance.

According to Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Lagos State’s delegation will consist of creatives, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

He emphasized that the initiative aligns with the THEMES+ agenda and will allow Lagos to “tell our stories and secure a seat among global cultural hubs.”

The festival, themed “Africa to the World: Culture, Creativity and Collaboration,” will be held at the Forum Auditorium in Harrisburg.

Organizers described the timing as a powerful opportunity for Africa to reconnect with its diaspora and foster cultural and economic development.

Wole Adeniyi, CEO of the African Cultural Festival, praised the collaboration as “perfect for African growth.” He noted that 2Baba’s performance highlights not only his legendary status but also Africa’s potential for cultural and economic transformation.
