24-year-old Joy Mojisola Raimi from Osun State has emerged Miss World Nigeria 2025, set to represent the country in India this May

 

Joy Mojisola Raimi, a 24-year-old beauty queen representing Osun State, has emerged as the winner of the Miss World Nigeria 2025 crown. The grand finale of the prestigious pageant took place on Saturday at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Ben Murray-Bruce, founder of the Silverbird Group and organiser of the event, shared the news via his official X (formerly Twitter) page, congratulating Raimi on her victory over 36 other contestants drawn from across Nigeria.

A graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, Raimi is not only celebrated for her beauty and poise but also for her humanitarian efforts. She is the founder of *The Love for Humanity* project, an initiative aimed at spreading compassion and restoring hope, especially among disadvantaged communities.

In a moving final statement during the contest, Raimi opened up about her difficult upbringing, revealing that she lost her mother early in life and endured years of bullying from her caregiver.

> “I was constantly told I would never amount to anything,” she said. “Today, I stand here not just as Miss World Nigeria, but as proof that no one can define your future but you.”

Raimi triumphed over strong contenders including Miss Imo, Miss Ebonyi, Miss Abuja, and Miss Abia in the final round of the competition.

As Miss World Nigeria 2025, Raimi will go on to represent Nigeria at the **72nd Miss World pageant**, set to hold in **Hyderabad, India from May 7 to 31**, where she will compete against over 140 international contestants.
