Ekiti State World Tourism Day 2024 at Ori Oke Ewo

Ekiti State prepares to celebrate World Tourism Day 2024 at Ori Oke Ewo, promoting local tourism and collaboration for a successful event.

 

Ekiti State’s Bureau of Tourism Development welcomed the Apeju of Ilupeju-Ekiti delegation to prepare for the 2024 World Tourism Day event at Ori Oke Ewo.

On September 17, 2024, Ambassador Wale Ojo-Lanre, Director General of the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development, welcomed a delegation from the Apeju of Ilupeju-Ekiti.

The visit focused on planning for the upcoming World Tourism Day celebration, scheduled for September 27, 2024, at Ori Oke Ewo.

The delegation included High Chief Otokiti, Olomeyin of Ewo, Dele Adeyemi, a Prince of Ilupeju-Ekiti and Secretary of the Organising Committee, and Alhaji Olayemi Rasaq, another member of the committee.

High Chief Otokiti expressed his appreciation for hosting the event in Ewo, highlighting its importance for the community and ensuring a successful celebration.

Executive Secretary Adegboyega Morakinyo emphasised the significance of Ori Oke Ewo as a symbol of peace, in line with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s mandate to promote tourism across Ekiti State.

Ojo-Lanre shared his admiration for the scenic beauty of Ori Oke Ewo, adding that the decision to celebrate World Tourism Day there aligns with the state’s vision to enhance local tourism.

The meeting concluded with a commitment to positive collaboration, ensuring the success of the 2024 World Tourism Day celebration.
