Lagos State is partnering with the federal government and private sector to boost tourism and create a thriving business environment.

The Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Art, and Culture has announced a partnership with the federal government and the private sector to boost tourism and foster a business-friendly environment.

During a tour of key tourist sites, including JK Randle, Freedom Park, National Museum, and Onikan House, Commissioner Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka shared the state’s commitment to promoting its rich art and cultural heritage.

Benson-Awoyinka highlighted that Lagos is open for business development and aims to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

She added that the state is deeply embedded with culture and ready to showcase its heritage to investors. Furthermore, she emphasised Lagos State’s dedication to youth development, stating that the government is prepared for collaborations to support the younger generation’s aspirations.

The National Commission for Museums and Monuments’ Director-General, Olugbile Holloway, also underscored the importance of this collaboration, noting that it would elevate the National Museum as a significant tourist destination within a broader cultural tourism ecosystem.

By bridging the gap between state and federal entities, the partnership will ensure a seamless experience for tourists, allowing them to immerse themselves in Lagos’ rich cultural offerings.
