Scheduled for Sunday, November 30, and Monday, December 1, 2025, the event will take place in Victoria Island. It is being organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in partnership with the Lagos Cultural Mission.

At a press briefing in Alausa on Monday, Idris Aregbe, Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism, Culture and Arts, described Lagos Culture Week as a vibrant showcase of the city’s cultural identity and creative energy.

“Detty December just got louder, prouder, and more cultural. Lagos is stepping out in full colour as we unveil Lagos Culture Week—a celebration of our roots, rhythms, flavours, fashion, art, and limitless creative spirit,” Aregbe said.

He added, “This is where tradition meets the now. Lagos shows the world that culture isn’t just preserved—it is lived, remixed, and celebrated with pride.

Lagos is no longer just about music and films; the city is a hub for culture, arts, food, fashion, and more.”

As part of the festival, the ‘Tour and Flavour of Lagos’ experience will hold on Sunday at the Nahous Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, while ‘See Lagos, See Culture’ will take place on Monday, offering residents and visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the city’s heritage.

Aregbe encouraged attendees to experience the energy, taste the soul of Lagos, and enjoy the fusion of tradition and modern creativity.
