The programme, launched in partnership with the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, also includes support from Access Bank, FiberOne, MTN, Zenith Bank and Awari App.

The organisers stated that the initiative is designed to strengthen recreational tourism for Nigerians and returning diaspora visitors while elevating Lagos as a prime festive destination.

As part of its inclusive agenda, Giwa Gardens will treat 1,000 less-privileged children to a fully sponsored visit on 13 December, providing free access, meals, drinks, safety gear and supervised entertainment.

Founder and CEO Keji Giwa described the project as a festive-season gift to families, noting that Detty December is rooted in joy and togetherness.

He said the collaboration with Lagos State and private partners reflects a united commitment to expanding the state’s tourism economy.

Representing the Lagos State Government, Special Adviser Idris Aregbe praised the initiative as a power move for tourism, saying the free tickets will help more families participate in the season while reinforcing the government’s inclusive values.

The launch marks a bold stride in Lagos’ tourism drive, positioning Giwa Gardens as a major hub for festive recreation.
