The Flavours of Nigeria Festival returns to Brampton, Canada on 9 August 2025 with a rich cultural showcase including cuisine, music, fashion, and folklore under the theme “A Cultural Voyage”
The much-anticipated Flavours of Nigeria Festival returns for its second edition on 9 August 2025 at Gage Park, Brampton, promising a spectacular blend of Nigerian cuisine, music, fashion, and tradition.
With the theme “A Cultural Voyage,” the festival sets out to offer attendees a deep dive into the vibrant heritage of Nigeria, right in the heart of Canada.
Designed as a cultural diplomacy initiative, the event aims to export Nigeria’s rich traditions while fostering meaningful cultural exchange between Nigeria and Canada.
Supported by the City of Brampton and the Brampton Board of Trade, the festival is rapidly establishing itself as a flagship platform for bilateral engagement and tourism promotion.
Speaking about the significance of the festival, curator Mr Chukwuebuka Anyaduba stated: “This event promises more than just entertainment, it offers an immersive experience that lets attendees see, taste, and feel Nigeria in one vibrant space.”
Co-curator Ambassador Akin Oduntan added from Canada, “The event will indeed showcase the Nigerian spirit of creativity, unity, and resilience on an international stage.”

Naija Brunch: Flavours & Royalty – A regal culinary experience inspired by Benin Royalty, combining gourmet Nigerian gastronomy with the elegance of traditional heritage.
Nigerian Folklore for Kids – Interactive storytelling sessions designed to educate children on Nigeria’s oral traditions and moral values.
Live Musical Performances – Featuring an exciting lineup of Afrobeat stars and traditional Nigerian music artistes.
Cultural Showcase & Masquerade Parade – A dramatic display of Nigeria’s colourful heritage through dance, costumes, and masquerade artistry.
Fashion & Craft Marketplace – A celebration of Nigerian creativity through fashion, handmade crafts, and contemporary African design.
Gastronomy Pavilion – A delicious journey across Nigeria’s diverse culinary map, offering everything from jollof rice to suya, moimoi, puff-puff, and more.
Dignitaries and cultural stakeholders from both Nigeria and Canada are expected to attend, further emphasising the event’s growing reputation as a significant cultural and economic platform.
