According to theculturenewspaper.com, the four-day event will be held at Garrick Memorial on Ekehuan Road and is expected to attract thousands of visitors, including tourists, culture enthusiasts, and residents.

Organisers said this year’s carnival promises an exciting mix of cultural parades, masquerade displays, live concerts, and fashion showcases celebrating Edo and African artistry.

The festivities will also feature street performances and dance contests that reflect the state’s rhythmic energy and creative spirit.

For food lovers, the carnival will offer a culinary feast blending Edo favourites with classic Nigerian dishes, while educational programmes—such as seminars and training sessions—will run alongside the entertainment, adding an element of learning to the celebration.

One of the festival’s standout events will be the Miss Edo Carnival 2025 pageant, which aims to promote beauty, intelligence, and cultural pride among young women.

The carnival will conclude with a spectacular grand finale and fireworks lighting up the Benin skyline, symbolising unity, joy, and the enduring strength of Edo’s cultural identity.
