The last quarter of the year in Nigeria is always buzzing with cultural and entertainment events, and a new addition, Delta Festival (Delfest 2024), has just been announced.

Delfest will be held from November 22 to 24 at The Dome Event Centre in Asaba, Delta State. Aimed at blending business and entertainment with youth development, this event promises a mix of networking, talent discovery, and hands-on training in vital skills for the modern world.

Ethemena Raphael Obrike, founder and director of Delfest, explained that talent development is central to the event. It provides a platform for youths to learn cutting-edge skills in tech innovation, filmmaking, and music production.

Obrike emphasised that Delfest is not just about entertainment but also a key opportunity for businesses to invest in Delta State, a region ripe for growth, with its six million vibrant residents and strong economic potential.

“Delfest is a business and cultural destination for forward-thinking enterprises to explore opportunities in Delta State, the new frontier for business growth,” Obrike noted.

He encouraged leading CEOs to look toward Delta for investment, with Delfest providing the platform to connect with potential partners and investors.

In collaboration with the Delta State Ministries of Trade & Youth Development, Arts and Tourism, and the Office of the Governor, Delfest will train over 450 youths from across Delta State in tech innovation, filmmaking, and music.

The festival’s training programme is set to empower young people, helping them acquire skills necessary to succeed in today’s challenging economic environment.

Apart from the youth training sessions, the festival will feature six business seminars during the Business Amplify Summit. Key topics will include customer service, leadership strategies, business and technology, and legality in business.

Speakers like Dr Maxwell Loko, Dr Linus Okorie, and Rockson Igelige will share their insights on how to grow businesses and make them attractive to venture capitalists.

Obrike highlighted that Delfest represents a strategic initiative that blends corporate social responsibility with entertainment and entrepreneurship, aiming to take youths off the streets and provide them with career-building opportunities.

The festival is poised to become a significant event that not only entertains but also contributes to the socio-economic development of Delta State.
