The “Decentralized Nigeria” conference, themed “Igniting Africa’s Web3 Revolution,” will take place at the prestigious Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, marking a pivotal moment for the continent’s engagement with blockchain technology and decentralized applications.

This landmark event is the brainchild of Rume Ophi, a prominent figure in Nigeria’s Web3 space and Regional Operations Manager of lyfebloodDAO, and Nova Phoenix, a U.S.-based blockchain strategist and founder of lyfebloodDAO, a social media DAO venturing into the Web3 landscape. Their combined expertise and shared vision aim to forge a decentralized digital future for Africa.

The conference will serve as a crucial platform for global dialogue, connecting black international thought leaders with influential African voices to explore the vast potential of decentralized technologies.

This synergy will be amplified by the participation of diaspora experts with deep industry knowledge and financial resources, creating transformative partnerships within the Web3 ecosystem.

Decentralized Nigeria is not just another industry gathering. It is a defining moment for the continent—a clarion call to governments, entrepreneurs, investors, creators, and everyday citizens to participate in shaping Africa’s digital destiny,” says Rume Ophi, Regional Operations Manager of lyfebloodDAO and co-organizer of the conference.

“Decentralized Nigeria” will go beyond discussions, acting as an incubator for tangible action. Key stakeholders from policy, finance, education, technology, and civil society are expected to converge to forge collaborations, develop inclusive strategies, and identify sustainable pathways for integrating Web3 into Africa’s developmental framework.

The event will also attract investors and venture capitalists seeking to discover and fund the next wave of African Web3 startups.

A core focus of the conference is to cultivate a sense of ownership and community around Web3. By highlighting the potential of NFTs for African creators, decentralized finance for small businesses, DAOs for community governance, and blockchain-based wallets for financial inclusion, “Decentralized Nigeria” aims to empower individuals and communities across the continent.

The conference organizers emphasize the urgency for Africa to actively participate in shaping its digital future through policy reforms, infrastructure investment, digital literacy initiatives, and the development of local blockchain expertise.

The alternative, they warn, is to become a passive consumer in a digital paradigm defined elsewhere, perpetuating platform dependency and hindering inclusive growth.

“Decentralized Nigeria is an opportunity to spark this movement. It is a starting point for collective reimagining. It is a signal to the world that Africa is ready, willing, and able to build its own decentralized future.

From the heart of Lagos, a new narrative can emerge—one of innovation, inclusion, and independence,” states Nova Phoenix, co-organizer of the conference and founder of lyfebloodDAO.

The call to action is clear: stakeholders from all sectors are invited to engage, learn, build, and lead in this transformative era.

To be part of this historic conversation and help ignite Africa’s Web3 revolution, register today to attend Decentralized Nigeria at the Civic Centre, Lagos.
