Known as Africa’s biggest street party, this year’s edition promises more vibrancy, diversity, and cultural depth than ever before.

This renewed energy follows Governor Bassey Otu’s efforts to repackage the carnival. The strategic planning began months ago, resulting in key pre-event activities, including a stakeholders’ roundtable held on June 26th. Investor proposals are expected in July.

The action kicks off with a Fitness Jam on August 3rd, followed by an essay competition running from form distribution on September 5th to prize-giving on October 17th.

Dry runs are set for October 19th, November 16th, and December 7th, with a Junior Dry Run on December 14th.

Major carnival days include:

Cultural Carnival & Nite of Kings and Queens – December 26
Junior Carnival – December 27
Bikers Carnival – December 28
Main Carnival Calabar – December 29
Street Party Finale – December 30
