The Plateau Cultural Carnival will take place on December 30th-31st, showcasing Plateau’s ethnic diversity, art, and music in Jos.

 

The organizers of the Plateau Cultural Carnival have called for support from the government and stakeholders to ensure the success of this year’s edition, scheduled for December 30th and 31st in Jos, Plateau State.

The Carnival, led by Chairperson Debrah Jalmet, promises to be a unique and vibrant celebration of the region’s rich cultural heritage.

This year’s event will feature a vibrant procession that showcases the ethnic diversity of Plateau State, with participants wearing traditional attire and performing cultural music and dances.

The procession will culminate at the Crest Hotel, where festivities will continue.

In addition to the cultural procession, the event will also highlight Plateau’s artistic creativity and culinary delights.

An art and food exhibition will showcase local craftsmanship and traditional dishes, providing visitors with a taste of the region’s rich cultural offerings.

A star-studded musical concert, featuring Plateau’s finest artistes alongside special guest performers, will add to the excitement of the Carnival.

The second day of the festival will feature a gala night to honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the growth and preservation of Plateau’s arts and culture.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the two-day event, which is poised to be a historic occasion for the state, celebrating the beauty and diversity of Plateau’s cultural heritage.
