Osinbajo graced the conference on Tuesday at the National Arts Theatre, Iganmu in Lagos State. The meeting, which started on Monday, is scheduled to end on Wednesday.
In a Twitter post, Laolu Akande, the vice president’s media aide, said Osinbajo represented President Muhammadu Buhari as a special guest of honour to receive Zurab Pololikashvili, UNWTO’s Secretary-General, to the event. Akande said the conference focuses on leveraging the tourism and creative industries for economic growth.
In a now-viral video from the event, Osinbajo sang the hit track, while remarking about the function of music as a “global language,” as the audience cheerfully join him in a sing-along.
He said, “Music, for example, as we all know, is a global language. Even though people don’t know the meaning of the words of a song, they enjoy the rhythm, and some find out the meaning of lyrics by discovering the cultures and ideas that inspire them.
“But let me just test that theory of mine, that is, that you don’t need to understand the words of any song to enjoy it and to be able to sing it and that music is indeed a very global language. How many people know this song?”
Osinbajo then started a rendition of ‘Buga’, saying, “Koni baje o let me see you go low low low let me see you go low low low Buga wọn, Lemme see Buga wọn” which drew applause and laughter from the audience. You know that your ‘Buga’ has to be a real ‘Buga’,” he said amidst cheers.
According to him, with Nigerian music rendered in different languages worldwide, people are now dancing to Nigerian songs like ‘Buga’.
He further commends the singer, Kizz Daniel, adding that ‘Buga won’ is a Yoruba expression that encourages one to flaunt their success.
“People all over the world are dancing to Kizz Daniel.
“The phrase ‘buga won’ is a Yoruba expression. It means ‘flaunt your hard-won success, take the fruit of your work. Take the opportunity, show off your successes.’ Don’t sit down there thinking ‘my success is too small.’ Feel it, show it off.
“Many people all over the world are squaring up their shoulders and saying, ‘It doesn’t matter how hard it seems or looks, I must show off my own success, no matter how little it may seem to others. It may seem to you that it’s small but I’m just going to buga won anyway,’” Osinbajo said.
Since its release on May 4, 2022, ‘Buga’ has enjoyed massive reception among music lovers and prominent figures across the globe.

The programme will kick off on May 4 and end on May 11, 2025.Conference Supervisor of the church, Dr. Joel Olayinka Adeniran who spoke on behalf of the church’s Spiritual Head, Dr. Emmanuel Alogbo said God has revealed to the church that the Bola Tinubu government will succeed if we allow it to succeed.
He said the church acknowledge the economic reality occasioned by physical and monetary policies of the government but it believe that the public must play their own part to get the country working and that business owners must avoid deliberate price hike.
“Some people are taking advantage of the government policies and abusing them by raising prices arbitrarily which in turn is affecting millions of Nigerians.
We believe that the government will succeed so; we must be patient with the President to allow the policies to go through.
He added: “Naira will gain values and the economy will be strengthened and our people will have gainful employment; and, we as a church will not fail in mitigating the challenges.
Speaking on insecurity in the country, Dr Adeniran said: “We commensurate with families who have experienced unfortunate incidences of kidnap and others.
As a Church, we have recorded four incidences; a senior member of our pastoral team was kidnapped in his house and his wife was killed and one of his children was also kidnapped but we are not dampened, we are hopeful that this nation will come out of this and insecurity will be over and light will shine.
We will continue to pray. We must pray for the government and our service men and women because they are the ones that are facing the challenges of combating insecurity.
“As citizens, we must do our part, we must give information to law enforcement agencies.
We must say something when we see something and look after one another.
On the contribution of the church to the nation, he said: “As an indigenous charismatic Pentecostal Church, the role of the church has been impacting to this nation.
We have over the time engaged in constant and sustainable intercessory prayers for the nation.
“On the economic development, the church have been able to galvanize financial resources and encourage many to come back home and invest, creating jobs for our youths. We are training our youth on skills.
“Last year we opened Nursery and Primary School at Galilee in addition to the Cherubim and Seraphim Collage in Ilorin, Kwara State. We are also planning to have Galilee University and Polytechnic because we need to train our people to tackle the future challenges economically.
Our mission is clear: to spread the light of God and his love; nurture the spiritual lives of our members; and provide meaningful support to our wider community.”
Speaking on the programme, he said: “The significance of the Horeb Ascension cannot be overstated. It is a time for us to gather as one body in Christ, to seek divine guidance, and to experience the refreshing presence of the Holy Spirit, as Prophets and Prophetesses gather for spiritual retreat and rejuvenation.
To this extent, we have launched and unveiled the Beulah Project as our strategic vision plan for the next phase of our development as a church, to meeting the present realities and challenges ahead of us.Therefore, the theme for this year Horeb Ascension is tagged, “Double Glory”.
This serves as an invitation to embrace the abundant blessings that God has in store for us.
It is a clarion call for all of us to aim higher, to receive greater revelations, and to witness the extraordinary manifestations of the glory of God in our lives.
As we journey through Horeb 2025, let us approach with open hearts, ready to receive double portions of His blessings in every area of our lives; spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
“We encourage every congregant to actively participate in the planned activities throughout the Ascension.
Engage in the worship sessions, partake in the teachings, and immerse yourself in the fellowship that defines our beloved church and message Christ to all mankind.
Let us collectively create an atmosphere of expectancy, where miracles and divine encounters are not only possible but inevitable. “At this convocation, alters of fire will be raised.
Night will turn to day for many destinies.”Story Angle 2C&S Movement Church Worldwide Tasks Nigerians On National Development, Economic Discipline, Others Ahead 56th Mount Horeb AscensionAs part of activities marking the upcoming 56th Annual Ascension of Mount Horeb, the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O) convened a press conference that also provided deep insights into its enduring contributions to national development, its position on the state of the nation, and the role of spirituality in addressing Nigeria’s challenges.
Announcing the highly anticipated annual event at a press conference in Ikeja on Tuesday, the Movement said this year’s Ascension of Mount Horeb taking place between May 4 and May 11 at Galilee, Orile Igbon, Oyo State, would be a time of spiritual visitation, highlighting that the importance of this year’s Ascension cannot be overemphasised.
Held at the prestigious Lagos Airport Hotel, the press briefing brought together members of the media and senior church leaders, including the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Church (Baba Aladura), His Grace, Dr. Prophet Emmanuel Adewale Abiodun Alogbo (JP), who spoke on behalf of the Church’s leadership.
As the Church approaches its centenary, the leadership used the opportunity to highlight its historical and spiritual contributions to Nigeria.
The Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, described as an “indigenous charismatic Pentecostal Church founded in Africa,” has stood as a spiritual anchor through various epochs of Nigeria’s socio-political evolution.“
We have, over time, engaged in constant and sustainable prayers for this nation,” said the Church leader.
“From the precolonial era to colonial subversion, from the First Republic and its crises to military rule, and now in the democratic dispensation — the Church has played and continues to play a major spiritual role in all that concerns this country.”
Beyond its spiritual role, the Church emphasized its tangible impact on national development. Through its global network of members, the Church has successfully mobilized resources from the diaspora to drive investments in agriculture, healthcare, youth employment, and entrepreneurship.
A key highlight of the Church’s forward-looking agenda is its strategic development plan known as The Builder Project. As explained during the press conference, this initiative embodies the Church’s commitment to enhancing health, education, women and youth empowerment over the next decade.“
We are strong on women and children empowerment, and training and retraining our youth for skills that meet current and future economic realities,” a senior Church official stated.
As part of its education drive, the Church recently inaugurated nursery, primary, and secondary schools at its headquarters – Galilea, and plans are underway to establish the Galilea Polytechnic and University, thereby expanding access to affordable and value-driven education.
In healthcare, the Church boasts an ultra-modern medical center and is developing recreational facilities to support youth and child wellness.
ch also used the platform to address Nigeria’s pressing insecurity challenges. Recognizing the trauma experienced by many Nigerians, including members of the Church who have been direct victims, the leadership called for unity in prayer as a tool for healing and national stability.“
We commiserate with families who have lost loved ones due to insecurity. As a Church, we have been victims too. But we remain resolute in our faith and believe that divine intervention is essential in these times.”
The Church reiterated its role as a custodian of divine revelations, noting that God has revealed that the current administration will succeed — if supported by the people.
Addressing the economic difficulties currently facing the country, the Church expressed optimism in the ability of the government’s reforms to bear fruit, but also emphasized the need for collective responsibility among citizens.“
We must all play our part by avoiding deliberate price hikes. While government policies may be tough in the interim, we should not take advantage of them by arbitrarily increasing prices, as this only deepens the hardship on millions of Nigerians.”
The Church urged market players, civil society, and workers’ unions to act with compassion and restraint, reinforcing the notion that sustainable development is only possible through shared sacrifice and discipline.
The 56th Mount Horeb Ascension, slated for later this month, was announced as a spiritual convergence point for national intercession. According to the leadership, the gathering will bring together worshippers and clerics across Nigeria and the diaspora to pray for peace, progress, and prosperity.
The event is expected to attract thousands of faithful and will also serve as a moment of reflection and revival for both the Church and the nation.“This Mountain of the Lord shall once again be a place of divine visitation.
We invite all Nigerians to join us as we lift the nation in prayer, and seek divine direction for our leaders.”

His Grace, Dr. Prophet Emmanuel Adewale Abiodun Alogbo (JP), the Spiritual Father & Spiritual Head, Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, thanked the Management Committee, District Chairmen, leaders of the various ministries, and branch leaders, saying their commitment and leadership had been pivotal in nurturing the vision and mission of the church.
He said the Ascension is a time to gather as the body of Christ for refreshing in the presence of God.“The Cherubim & Seraphim Movement Church is founded on the principles of divine love, healing and community outreach.
Our vision is to reach every corner of the earth with the gospel of Jesus Christ, fostering spiritual renewal and transformation in the lives of those we shepherd,” he said.“
The significance of the Horeb Ascension cannot be overstated. It is a time for us to gather as one body in Christ, to seek divine guidance, and to experience the refreshing presence of the Holy Spirit, as Prophets and Prophetesses gather for spiritual retreat and rejuvenation.”
The man of God said given the theme for this year’s event, it is the time for members to embrace abundance, charging them to engage in all the activities.“Therefore, the theme for this year Horeb Ascension is tagged, ‘Double Glory’.
This serves as an invitation to embrace the abundant blessings that God has in store for us. It is a clarion call for all of us to aim higher, to receive greater revelations, and to witness the extraordinary manifestations of the glory of God in our lives.“

Let us collectively create an atmosphere of expectancy, where miracles and divine encounters are not only possible but inevitable.“
By the special grace of the Almighty God, this Mount Horeb pilgrimage of this year bears double significance: not only does it mark yet another sacred ascent in our spiritual journey as a people, it also coincides with the first anniversary of my stewardship as the Spiritual Father and Spiritual Head of this glorious movement church.“
Brethren, permit me to humbly reflect on this journey so far. When, by divine ordination, I was entrusted with this sacred mantle, I made a covenant before God and before you -a covenant to lead with integrity, with transparency, and with inclusivity.“Since that moment, every decision taken, every step made, has been guided by a sincere desire to uphold the spiritual, administrative, and communal values of our church.
I have sought not just to lead, but to listen; not just to direct, but to serve,” he said.Speaking earlier while welcoming the participants at the press conference, Special Apostle Joel Olayinka Adeniran (Jp), the Conference Supervising Prophet, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, said Mount Horeb Ascension is not just a location but an appointment with destiny.“
Brethren, Mount Horeb is not just a location – it is an appointment with destiny,” he said.“It is the mountain where the heavens kiss the earth, where prayers ascend like incense and miracles descend like rain.
As the Psalmist declared, ‘I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence Cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth’.(Psalm 121:1-2)“This year’s ascension is prophetically loaded. It is not an ordinary gathering – it is a divine visitation.”
He said long standing battles would be won and yokes would be broken in this year’s Mount Horeb Ascension.“The Lord has spoken expressly that this 56th edition shall be a Mount Horeb of divine settlements and Double Glory.Long-standing battles will be terminated. Yokes will be broken. Captives shall be set free.
The barren will sing for joy. The sick will leap in health. Those who have been delayed will overtake, and the rejected shall become the cornerstone,” he said.He said further; “At this holy convocation, altars of fire will be raised.
Night will turn to day for many destinies.“Angels are already on assignment, and the voice of the Lord will thunder over the waters of affliction. ‘The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty’.
Psalm 29:4)“I call on the global family of the Cherubim and Seraphim, especially the CSMC Global Family and indeed all who seek a genuine encounter with the Almighty, to gather with holy expectations.”
Meanwhile, the Movement reeled out their contributions to national development, charging Nigerians to pray for the country and the security agencies in the face of insecurity in the country.
