The Mainland BlockParty hosts the first all-female Her Future Festival on March 27 in Ikeja, Lagos, celebrating women in music and event roles

Organisers of the Mainland BlockParty have announced the first all-female edition of their popular festival, titled Her Future Festival, scheduled for March 27 in Ikeja, Lagos.

The festival aims to promote gender inclusion in entertainment, putting women at the centre of performances, operations, and production.

The inaugural lineup features top artistes including Niniola, Fave, Smur Lee, Fimi with the Flow, Wanni x Handi, M.I.A, and GoodGirl LA.

In addition, the event will showcase an all-female DJ lineup and assign women to key roles in production, logistics, and vendor management.

Rebecca Adeyanju, Head of Products at The Plug Global, explained that the festival is designed to expand opportunities for women in the creative ecosystem.

“This project seeks to align with the growing contributions of women within the nightlife and entertainment space,” she said, highlighting the festival’s mission to spotlight female talent across all areas.

Her Future Festival represents a milestone for gender representation in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, providing a platform for women to perform, lead, and shape the festival experience.
