Ekiti Day in Abuja 2024

The maiden edition of Ekiti Day in Abuja 2024, organised by the Ekiti State Diaspora Relations office, will take place on 16 November at Tobix Recreational Park.

 

The event will showcase Ekiti State’s rich cultural heritage, promote unity, and highlight tourism potential. It will feature cultural performances, exhibitions, and the Ekiti Heritage Award 2024. Governor Abiodun Oyebanji will serve as the special guest of honour.

Ekiti State is set to host the maiden edition of **Ekiti Day in Abuja 2024**, a vibrant celebration of the state’s culture, diversity, and tourism potential.

The event, facilitated by the Ekiti State Diaspora Relations office, is scheduled for Saturday, 16 November 2024, at Tobix Recreational Park, Abuja, beginning at 3 p.m.

This inaugural event is expected to bring together Ekiti indigenes residing in Abuja, fostering unity and providing a platform to showcase the state’s cultural heritage and tourism offerings to a wider audience.

The celebration, organised by Aso Multimedia in collaboration with Mrs. Ademola Adeleye Fasubaa, Director General of Ekiti State Diaspora Relations, aims to strengthen ties among Ekiti citizens in the diaspora while promoting the state’s development.

Attendees will experience a day filled with vibrant music, cultural performances, exhibitions, and a panel session discussing key issues related to Ekiti State’s development.

One of the event’s highlights will be the **Ekiti Heritage Award 2024**, which will honour distinguished sons and daughters of the state for their remarkable contributions to various sectors.

The special guest of honour, **Governor Abiodun Oyebanji**, is set to address the gathering, focusing on his administration’s achievements in infrastructure and education.

He will also outline his vision for Ekiti’s future, highlighting the state’s ambition to become a model of excellence among Nigeria’s states.

Mrs. Fasubaa noted that the event seeks to unite Ekiti indigenes while showcasing the state’s immense potential in culture and tourism. “We aim to promote unity among our people and highlight Ekiti’s development potential,” she said.

The event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Ekiti’s rich heritage and forward-looking development goals, set in the heart of the nation’s capital.
