AITEC-World Nigeria launch is set to mark a historic milestone for Africa’s tourism and economic sectors.

The Africa-International Tourism and Economic Council (AITEC-World) will officially launch its operations in Nigeria on August 14, 2025, in Abuja, aiming to position Nigeria as the continent’s tourism epicenter.

At a media briefing, Kazeem Balogun, AITEC-World’s Vice President of Communications and International Relations, emphasized the event’s importance for boosting Nigeria’s local economy through tourism, investment, and cultural exchange.

The launch will unite policymakers, diplomats, creatives, youth leaders, and development partners under the theme: “Tourism for Economic Advancement: From Africa to the World.”

With headquarters in Cotonou, Benin Republic, AITEC-World’s strategic choice to launch in Nigeria reflects the nation’s vibrant population, cultural wealth, and youthful demographic.

The council’s six pillars focus on enhancing Africa’s global tourism brand, improving connectivity, and fostering sustainable, inclusive development.
