Tosin Ajibade the visionary behind OloriSuperGal media, is set to grace the prestigious Culturati Symposium, making its much-anticipated return to Lagos on November 16.

The event will commence with a thought-provoking pre-event symposium themed “Enhancing Africa’s Economy Through Investments in Culture, Arts & Tourism.” Scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Afe Babalola Hall, University of Lagos, this symposium will host distinguished leaders in contemporary art. Chioma Ude, the founder of the African International Film Festival, will deliver the keynote address, bridging generational gaps within Nigeria’s cultural landscape.

The main event unfolds over four days, kicking off on Thursday, November 30, at Sol Beach and culminating on Saturday, December 2, at the same venue. On Sunday, December 3, the celebration continues at the Balmoral Convention Centre, The Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, starting at 6 pm.

The overarching theme for this year’s Culturati is “Exploring Opportunities in African Culture for Economic Development via Strategic Investments in Tech, Tourism & Art.” Tiwasayo Odugbesan, the Project Coordinator of Culturati, highlighted the extensive array of activities, promising a diverse cultural and artistic experience for everyone, irrespective of nationality, ethnic origin, or cultural orientation—a celebration of African culture on a global stage.

As the continent’s premier cultural fusion event, Culturati aims to act as a catalyst for the creative economy, consistently providing opportunities for African creatives and SMEs to thrive. It is a celebration and exploration of the multifaceted aspects of Africa’s rich and diverse culture, aiming to establish culture and the arts as powerful tools for social cohesion, youth development, tourism, and economic empowerment.
