Governor Soludo opens Solution Fun City in Awka, calling it a family fun house with amusement park, cinema and club, set to host regular public events
Solution Fun City Awka was officially declared open to the public on Saturday by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, marking a new era for family entertainment and tourism in Anambra State.
The grand opening ceremony took place in Awka and featured electrifying performances from top entertainers, including Afrobeat sensation Chinedu Okoli, widely known as Flavour N’abania.
Also performing were renowned comedian Ogbuefi I Go Tuk and MC Ezegetive, who added their flair to the vibrant atmosphere.
Describing the facility as a “Family Fun House,” Governor Soludo said Solution Fun City comprises an amusement park, a state-of-the-art cinema, and a country club, all designed to provide luxury and comfort for visitors of all ages.
“This is more than just a park. It is a premium leisure space where families, children and tourists can come together to relax and bond. It reflects our vision for a thriving, modern Anambra that supports local tourism and quality of life,” Soludo said.
The governor added that the park will host public events every two to three months, aiming to attract consistent community engagement and boost local enterprise.
Solution Fun City stands as one of Soludo’s flagship infrastructure projects and was officially inaugurated on 8 May by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The facility is already being recognised as a major step towards diversifying the state’s economy through entertainment and recreation.
Thousands of guests turned out for the opening, with many lauding the state government’s efforts to create a modern leisure destination within Awka.
The facility is expected to generate jobs, support the hospitality sector, and offer safe recreational alternatives for residents and visitors alike.
With its strategic design and entertainment offerings, Solution Fun City is poised to become a central attraction not only for Anambra State but for the South East region, embodying the governor’s vision of a more vibrant and livable state.
