The event will take place at the National Museum of Unity, Aleshinloye, and will feature 20 secondary schools—both public and private—from across the city.

Organised by the Young Artists Art Hub in partnership with the National Museum of Unity, the contest will see students compete in music, visual arts, dance, poetry, crafts, and oratory.

Artist and event convenor Olaide Turner-Moyet said, “This initiative is a continuum of ancestral tools for expressing and appreciating life.”

The governor will be joined by top dignitaries, including the Oyo State Commissioners for Education and for Culture and Tourism, Hon. Segun Olayiwola and Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun.

The event chair is renowned cultural icon Chief Tunde Odunlade, while celebrated Ibadan artist Omofemi Oluwole will be honoured as Artist of the Day. Media personality Olawale Ogunbusola will serve as anchor.

Turner-Moyet explained that the initiative aims to instil cultural pride in students. “Music, drama, poetry, crafts—these are not just art forms. They are vessels of our identity,” she said.

Schools such as Loyola College, St. Louis Grammar School, The Vale College, and Qiblah College will participate, with winners receiving educational support tools and prizes.
