Reality TV star and actress Queen Atang has opened up about the emotional and physical toll of wearing her viral outfit to the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards popularly known as the AMVCA.

Speaking during an interview with BBC Pidgin, Queen revealed that the now trending outfit, designed by Toyin Lawani’s Tiannah Empire, was extremely heavy and caused visible injuries to her body.

Queen Atang viral AMVCA outfit attracted widespread attention after she appeared at the event in a bread-inspired ensemble reportedly created using hundreds of loaf-like elements.

According to the actress, the weight of the outfit became overwhelming shortly after she tried it on, forcing her into tears before eventually gathering the courage to wear it publicly.

She disclosed that the outfit left wounds on her back due to its intense weight, describing the experience as both painful and emotionally draining.

Despite the discomfort, the reality star attended the prestigious event and posed for photographs, even after arriving after the official red carpet session had ended.

She explained that she initially had no plans to attend the ceremony until her designer encouraged her to embrace a bold fashion concept aimed at promoting her business creatively.

The striking outfit later gained massive online attention, with social media users debating its artistic value, originality and dramatic presentation.

In a surprising twist, Guinness World Records also joined the online conversation after referencing its category for the world’s largest cake dress beneath a viral video of the outfit.

Queen, however, said she never anticipated the global attention the outfit eventually generated, insisting that her intention was simply to make a memorable creative statement.
