The Federal Art Ministry partners Lens for Good to empower Nigerian creatives, promote culture, and drive economic growth through training and collaboration
Nigerian creatives empowerment has received a significant boost as the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism, and the Creative Economy signed a landmark partnership with the Lens for Good Initiative to promote cultural heritage and creative excellence across the country.
The partnership, formalised in Abuja, aims to strengthen national identity through positive storytelling, foster economic growth within the creative industry, and build capacity through training, mentorship, and resource sharing.
Under the agreement, Nigerian creatives will gain access to digital tools, mentorship programmes, and educational resources, alongside specialised workshops in photography, filmmaking, and digital storytelling.
The initiative will also back flagship film and production projects that celebrate Nigeria’s diverse culture and creative talent on both local and global platforms.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Minister Hannatu Musawa described the partnership as a vital step in advancing President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for economic diversification and youth empowerment.
“This partnership will nurture the next generation of creative talent, celebrate Nigeria’s cultural identity, and reshape global perceptions of our nation,” Musawa said.
She added that the government remains committed to empowering Nigerian creatives with the tools and opportunities needed to thrive in the global creative economy.
The collaboration is expected to stimulate cultural tourism, create new jobs, and enhance Nigeria’s reputation as a hub for creativity and innovation.
