Speaking at a reception hosted by the Nigeria-Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NBCCI), Santos Jnr outlined his agenda to simplify Brazil’s visa process for Nigerians, deepen trade relations, and promote tourism between the two nations.

“Our focus will be to open new pathways for trade, investment, and tourism, while making it easier for Nigerians to access Brazil,” Santos Jnr said, adding that his plans align closely with the Chamber’s mission.

He cited recent high-level engagements — including President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Brazil and the upcoming trip of Brazil’s Vice President — as evidence of the strengthening diplomatic bond.

NBCCI President Chief Chika Okafor, OFR welcomed the envoy, recalling the vibrant Nigeria–Brazil trade of the 1970s and 1980s, and expressing optimism that this new chapter will revive such robust economic exchange.

The reception drew prominent figures including Macalexander Alexander, CEO of Visions & Dreams Ltd; Uzo Ebejuo; and other NBCCI executives.
