Miss Africa International 2025 in Abuja celebrates African women, heritage, and creativity while promoting education, entrepreneurship, and social change
Abuja is set to welcome stakeholders in Africa’s beauty, fashion, and creative economy as the 2025 edition of Miss Africa International takes place on December 6 at the Center Point Event Centre.
The pageant positions itself as both a cultural showcase and a key contributor to Nigeria’s growing pageant and creative industry value chain.
Founder and organiser, Anita Igoni, explained that the 2025 edition aims to strengthen Africa’s presence in the global creative economy by highlighting heritage-driven narratives while expanding opportunities for young women across the continent.
“Miss Africa International 2025 is not just a pageant; it is a celebration of Africa’s diversity, elegance, intelligence, and strength,” Igoni said.
“Through this platform, we honour African women and showcase to the world that our continent’s beauty is as deep as its heritage.”
Igoni also noted that the event continues to attract contestants and audiences from across Africa and has evolved into a platform that supports education, entrepreneurship, and advocacy initiatives.
“Our goal is to help young women find their voice and use it to advocate for education, entrepreneurship, and social change,” she added.
Industry analysts have highlighted that Abuja’s hosting of the event reinforces the city’s growing profile in the regional entertainment and hospitality markets.
With pageants increasingly serving as vehicles for brand visibility, corporate sponsorships, and tourism revenue, Miss Africa International is expected to generate business activity across fashion design, media production, event management, hospitality, and local retail.
The 2025 edition promises to be a powerful platform that blends glamour with purpose, offering young African women the chance to showcase talent, heritage, and leadership on an international stage.
