Margarita Festival Africa celebrates its 10th edition in Lagos this November, blending cocktails, culture, music, and African creativity
Margarita Festival Africa is set to return on 30 November 2025 in Lagos, marking its historic 10th edition and reinforcing its reputation as West Africa’s biggest tequila-inspired cultural fair.
Since its debut, the festival has grown from a cocktail celebration into a vibrant cultural platform, showcasing food, music, art, and lifestyle with Latin influences while highlighting African creativity.
Over the years, MFAF has expanded from Lagos to Abuja, Accra, and Abidjan, with special editions including Margarita Day and Cinco de Mayo.
This year’s edition promises an immersive experience, headlined by the Margalympics a pre-festival competition where the best margarita makers across Lagos will battle for the crown.
Judges will tour nominated venues, with the grand finale staged live during the festival, giving attendees a chance to sample and vote for their favourites.
Wendz Connoisseur, Founder and Convener of MFAF, reflected on the festival’s journey:
“What began as a dream to celebrate the margarita has become a thriving cultural movement that unites people across nations. Margarita Festival Africa is more than an event it is a community and a testament to how cocktails can bring people together.
As we celebrate our 10th edition, we are proud to showcase Lagos while reinforcing Nigeria’s place as a cultural and tourism hub in Africa.”
The Lagos edition is expected to attract over 1,500 attendees, including cocktail lovers, food enthusiasts, cultural adventurers, and tourists.
Beyond entertainment, MFAF also sustains strong social impact efforts through its LimeFolk Initiative, which supports bartender grants and provides back-to-school kits for children of hospitality workers.
Now in its sixth Lagos edition, MFAF stands as both a festive highlight and a cultural movement, cementing its role as one of the continent’s most anticipated events.
