African Food & Drinks Festival

African Food & Drinks Festival returns to Lagos this October for its 5th edition, bringing food, music, culture, and community together at Muri Okunola Park

Now in its fifth year, the festival has grown into one of the continent’s most vibrant celebrations of African cuisine and culture. Since its debut in Abuja, it has become a cultural landmark, drawing families, food lovers, and explorers from across Africa.

Attendees can expect a day bursting with energy, featuring food vendors from across Lagos, live DJ sets, cooking battles, dance showcases, and interactive spaces for families and professionals.

Organisers say it is more than just a food event — it is a movement that uses food to unite people.

Israel Adaji, Head of Events at African Food Network, said this year’s festival holds special meaning. “Lagos is a cultural and economic landmark in Africa, so it makes sense to come back after the reception we had in the last edition here,” he explained.

“This festival has grown because of the people who believe in what we’re doing, using food to bring Africans together.”

Entry to the African Food & Drinks Festival is free, but registration is required. Festival-goers are encouraged to sign up early at festival.afrifoodnetwork.com to secure their spots and gain access to exclusive perks and VIP areas.
