Lam Chris Pageant Warning as Mister Supranational Nigeria urges contestants to beware of alleged exploitation in some pageants

Mister Supranational Nigeria 2026, Lam Chris, has warned aspiring pageant contestants to conduct proper background checks before entering competitions, citing concerns over alleged exploitation within parts of the industry during an interview in Lagos.

Lam Chris, speaking on Yanga 89.9 FM, said some pageant organisers allegedly predetermine winners before contests begin, leaving other participants financially strained after investing in registration, outfits and rehearsals without fair competition.

He described the situation as deeply troubling, urging prospective contestants to remain vigilant and verify the credibility of organisers before committing their time and resources. His comments have since sparked discussion among pageant enthusiasts and industry observers.

According to Lam Chris, transparency remains a major concern in some competitions, with participants often unaware of underlying arrangements until after investing significantly. He called for greater honesty from organisers and better awareness among contestants.

In a lighter moment during the interview, Lam Chris recounted a personal encounter involving a female admirer who initially expressed romantic interest in him via a direct message but later reacted negatively after receiving no immediate response.

He used the incident to highlight the unpredictable nature of public attention.

Lam Chris also spoke about evolving trends in pageantry, noting that modern male pageants are becoming more inclusive, allowing contestants who are in relationships or already fathers to participate.

He was recently unveiled as Mister Supranational Nigeria 2026 and is set to represent Nigeria at the international Mister Supranational competition in Poland.

He succeeds Michael Mazi Michael, who finished as third runner-up at the 2025 edition.
