Expert Tasks FG, States On Development Of Nation’s Tourism

A Tourism Management Expert cum Public Relations manager – Chika Obodozie has called for more proactive measures by the various tiers of government in the management of the nation’s vast tourist potentials.

He argued that the odds currently confronting the nation’s tourism sector are not insurmountable, given the history and experience of the more advanced nations who at one time or the order, faced such problems but eventually resolved them through pragmatic approaches and saved it from near extinction.

Obodozie made the call while interacting with newsmen during which he formally announced the emergence of an ultra-modern 5-star Hotel with a 300 capacity Hall for Sundry social events.

Christened “Golden Vista Hotels Owerri” located within the new Owerri Capital city, the tourism management doyen said that the Edifice with all forms of ultra-modern facilities for comfort and relaxation including swimming pools, GYM, a big event center, 4 types of presidential suites, 95 rooms, guaranteed security, buffet restaurant, hall and roof top conference facility as well as 24/7 Wi-fi and regular power supply is poised to provide great customer enviable services to members of the public.

“We want to be rated number one in the Hotel Industry East of the Niger and for now, guests can enjoy all facilities here free of charge such as swimming pool and Gym”.

According to Obodozie, when commissioned, the Golden Vista Hotels Owerri would offer employment to over 100 job seekers to stem the rising unemployment rate in the state.

Speaking further, Obodozie explained that the hotel was established in the Eastern Heartland to further strengthen the development of the hospitality industry in the state, provide quality services for guests as well as occasional special events and great customer services.
