Ejiwa Elegba Iru Festival Lagos finale holds at Oniru Palace with sacred rites, music, and dance marking the end of the seven-day celebration

April 16, 2026, witnessed the grand finale of the Ejiwa Elegba Iru Festival as traditional worshippers, cultural custodians, and residents gathered at the Oniru Palace in Victoria Island for the climactic “Ije” celebration marking the end of the seven-day annual festival.

The Ejiwa Elegba Iru Festival Lagos finale, hosted by His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulwasiu Gbolahan Lawal, the Oniru of Iru Kingdom, featured sacred traditional rites, vibrant music, and cultural dance performances at the newly commissioned Agbo Elegba Iru site.
