Dareysteel’s role in social change through music narrative reflects a long-standing commitment to blending entertainment with advocacy, as the artist continues to position his work as a tool for societal transformation rather than mere commercial success.

Based in Spain, Dareysteel has spent nearly three decades in the music industry, building a reputation as a socially conscious performer whose work resonates strongly within African and international communities.

His song “How Come” gained significant attention during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests in Madrid, where it was widely played as demonstrators marched in honour of George Floyd, further amplifying his message against racial injustice.

Over the years, Dareysteel has received recognition for his contributions, including a Merit Award from the African community in Madrid in 2025, honouring his consistent advocacy through music.

He was also celebrated by the Nigerian diaspora in Seville later that year, with organisers praising his commitment to fighting discrimination and promoting positive change through his art.

Born in Jesse, Delta State, with ancestral roots in Nanka, Anambra State, Dareysteel began his music journey at a young age before relocating to Spain, where he later became a national and built his professional career.
