The Mavin Records artist revealed the release date through her verified X account, where she shared a teaser video and a pre-save link for the album.

Announcing the project, Ayra Starr wrote: “starrgirl is comingggg. are you ready?” The post immediately drew thousands of reactions from fans eager to hear the singer’s latest body of work.

According to details shared alongside the announcement, STARRGIRL will feature 16 tracks, including high-profile collaborations with fellow Nigerian stars Wizkid on Gimme Dat and Rema on Who’s Dat Girl.

The collaborations are expected to be among the album’s standout moments as anticipation continues to build ahead of its release.

The Ayra Starr STARRGIRL release represents another significant milestone in the singer’s rapidly expanding career.

Ayra Starr broke through after signing with Mavin Records in 2021 and quickly gained international recognition with her self-titled debut EP before achieving global success with the hit single Rush, which earned widespread acclaim and introduced her music to a broader audience.

The forthcoming album follows 19 & Dangerous, released in 2021, and The Year I Turned 21, which arrived in 2024.

Both projects helped establish Ayra Starr as one of the leading voices in contemporary Afrobeats, earning commercial success and critical recognition at home and abroad.

The announcement also continues a carefully paced rollout that began with hints about a new project in recent weeks, fuelling speculation across social media.

The confirmation of guest appearances by Wizkid and Rema has added further momentum to the campaign and strengthened expectations that the album could become one of Afrobeats’ defining releases of 2026.

Music observers note that collaborations between leading Afrobeats artists have increasingly helped expand the genre’s global reach, while Ayra Starr has consistently blended pop, R&B and African influences to broaden her international appeal.

The upcoming release is widely expected to showcase another stage in that artistic evolution.
