Vibing December Oyo returns with month-long cultural, music, and entertainment events, creating business opportunities and festive experiences statewide

Vibing December Oyo is set to transform the state into a vibrant hub of cultural and entertainment activities, with celebrations running from December 1, 2025, to January 2, 2026.

The programme, also known as Faaji December, was announced on Monday by the Oyo State Government in partnership with corporate and private organisers.

During a press conference at the Cultural Centre in Ibadan, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Wasiu Olatubosun, explained that the initiative aims to generate extensive business opportunities while entertaining residents across the state.

He confirmed that festivities will not be limited to Ibadan but will take place simultaneously in various locations throughout Oyo State.

Corporate sponsors and cultural groups will lead a variety of events. Nigerian Breweries PLC will stage its Legendary December experience, featuring beer villages from December 4, 2025, to January 2, 2026.

D Fantasyland will host its variety programme at the Recreation Club open field in Sabo, Ibadan, from December 24 to 26. Meanwhile, the University of Ibadan open field will host the Ojude UI celebration on December 20, including artistes’ hangouts and musical concerts.

Other highlights include the Amala Cuisine Exhibition by the Amala Festival on December 6, the Ogbomoso Cradle Carnival from December 18 to 22, the Oyo Durbar on December 27, and both the Amaland Festival and Atewolara Festival at the National Museum in Aleshinloye, Ibadan, on December 14. JAGZ Hotel and the Hoteliers Association will also host variety shows and Hotel Vibes events throughout the season.

Royal Cruise Entertainment will stage the Faaji Cruise on the Eleyele River, featuring celebrity appearances, alongside a fashion exhibition by Ibadan Fashion Rising.

In Lagos, the Shakara Festival will deliver a first-of-its-kind four-day outdoor music and culture experience at Nautica Beach Resort, Lekki, from December 18 to 21, promising to thrill music lovers and festival-goers alike.

With this full calendar of events, Vibing December Oyo is poised to offer residents and visitors a festive season filled with culture, music, gastronomy, and entertainment, ensuring a lively close to 2025.
