Speaking during his visit to Igbo-Ukwu Community in Aguata LGA on Wednesday, the governor said the facelift would highlight the significance of the renowned Igbo-Ukwu bronze, one of Nigeria’s oldest archaeological treasures.

“We are reinvigorating our heritage to ensure it shines for future generations, connecting the past with a bright future. It will not just be about structures, but about our identity and pride,” Soludo said.

During the visit, the governor inaugurated a renovated Comprehensive Medical Centre in Obiuno, donated by a family and handed over to the government.

He pledged to deploy doctors and nurses to provide quality healthcare, including free antenatal and delivery services.

He also commissioned a 4.2-kilometre road in Igbo-Ukwu, facilitated by Mr Dom Okafor, member representing Aguata Federal Constituency, noting that the project would boost transportation and economic activities in the area.

Soludo used the occasion to urge residents to support Chief Emma Nwachukwu of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming Anambra South Senatorial Bye-Election on August 16.

The Igbo-Ukwu community, represented by Mr Barth Nwibe, commended Soludo’s leadership in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic growth.
