Reuben Abati Book Launch unveils three new titles exploring politics, society, and storytelling at NIIA Lagos on November 7, 2025

Reuben Abati Book Launchhas been officially announced by Caltop Publications Nigeria Limited, marking a significant moment in the literary and intellectual landscape of Nigeria.

The event will take place on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Victoria Island, Lagos.

At the ceremony, three of Dr. Abati’s latest works will be unveiled Portraits: People, Politics and Society, A Love Letter & Other Stories, and How Goodluck Jonathan Became President.

Each title reflects his signature blend of eloquence, analytical rigour, and creative depth, capturing the intersections of politics, culture, and human experience.

According to Ayo Arowosegbe, Managing Director of Caltop Publications, the books are “compelling, insightful, and relevant for our times,” adding that they will serve as valuable resources for policymakers, academics, media professionals, and students.

The Reuben Abati Book Launch is expected to attract dignitaries from diverse sectors, including government, academia, and the arts, all gathering to celebrate the journalist’s enduring influence on public discourse and national development.

The event also coincides with Dr. Abati’s 60th birthday, offering an opportunity to honour his distinguished career spanning journalism, literature, and public service.

A respected commentator and former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Abati has long been recognised as one of Nigeria’s foremost intellectual voices.

His career has encompassed leadership roles at The Guardian Newspapers, television appearances on Patito’s Gang, and current anchoring of The Morning Show and ThisDay Live on Arise TV, as well as City Talks with Reuben Abati on City 101.5 FM.

With his new books, Dr. Abati reaffirms his position as a thought leader dedicated to examining Nigeria’s political evolution, cultural identity, and civic consciousness through informed and accessible writing.
