Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State mourned the death of the revered monarch, describing him as a stabilising force and a custodian of Badagry’s culture and traditions.

“Oba Akran’s death is a great loss not only to Badagry but to Lagos State and Nigeria at large. He served selflessly, promoted unity, preserved tradition, and fostered modern development,” the governor said in a statement released by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile.
