Tourism leaders from across Nigeria convened in Lagos to finalise plans for the IPADA Carnival 2024, a cultural event aimed at showcasing Nigeria’s rich heritage and promoting national unity.
In a powerful demonstration of national unity and collaboration, commissioners, director generals, and senior special advisers of tourism and culture from Ekiti, Kano, Lagos, Ogun, and Osun states, along with other key stakeholders, gathered at La Campagne Tropicana in Lagos for a two-day event.
The purpose of this crucial meeting was to finalise plans for the highly anticipated IPADA Initiative and Carnival 2024, set to take place from November 29 to December 12, 2024.
Spearheaded by Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, the founder of La Campagne Tropicana, and supported by the Federal Ministry of Tourism, this event seeks to elevate Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage on the global stage.
Honourable Minister of Tourism, Lola Ade-John, emphasised the Carnival’s alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, which aims to strengthen national unity and drive economic growth.
The IPADA Carnival promises to captivate local and global audiences, showcasing Nigeria’s vibrant traditions and offering economic opportunities through tourism revenues, job creation, and infrastructure development.
Otunba Akinboboye highlighted the importance of private and government partnerships, which are crucial to ensuring the event’s success and positioning Nigeria as a leading cultural tourism destination.
