The event marks the formal handover of leadership for the Rotary year themed “Unite for Good”, which runs from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

Hosted at the Victoria Garden Event Centre, opposite Ikeja Shopping Mall in Alausa, Ikeja, the vibrant ceremony brought together Rotarians, dignitaries, family, and friends to witness a new chapter in the district’s leadership.

In his inaugural address, Governor Adedoyin expressed his commitment to fostering unity and collaboration across clubs in the newly formed District 9112.

“My goal this year is to unite hearts and actions for meaningful service,” he stated, drawing applause from attendees.

Adding prestige to the occasion was guest speaker Alhaji Ahmed Raji, SAN, a leading legal practitioner and founder of Ahmed Raji & Co.

Raji, a classmate of Adedoyin from the University of Lagos, delivered a keynote speech centred on ethical leadership and service to humanity.

His remarks resonated with Rotary’s core values and emphasised the importance of integrity and unity in service delivery.

The installation was not just a ceremonial handover, but a spirited celebration of Rotary values and Nigerian culture.

Trinity Band provided musical entertainment, delivering a lively mix of highlife and contemporary tunes that kept spirits high throughout the day.

Attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere featuring gourmet cuisine, drinks, and an energetic after-party, turning the event into a memorable experience for all.

Networking, camaraderie, and renewed commitment to Rotary’s ideals were central to the day’s activities.

Adedoyin, widely respected for his strategic thinking and inclusive leadership style, assumes office at a pivotal time.

District 9112—recently realigned as part of Rotary’s global restructuring—encompasses clubs aiming to expand impact, visibility, and partnerships.

As the new Rotary District Governor, Adedoyin’s agenda is focused on club synergy, sustainability, and high-impact service projects.

He aims to prioritise youth engagement, community outreach, and member development, fostering what he calls a “service culture that is both inclusive and enduring.”

In his remarks, Adedoyin acknowledged the dedication of outgoing leaders and emphasised the need to continue building on their legacy.

“Rotary leadership is about continuity and innovation. We’re here to strengthen what has been built and reach even greater heights,” he noted.

District Rotarians echoed strong support for the new governor. Many expressed optimism about his vision to lead with empathy and purpose, citing his past record as a catalyst for positive change in local clubs.

The event also marked the symbolic beginning of Rotary’s new year in Nigeria, and expectations are high.

The theme, “Unite for Good”, reflects a collective drive to foster partnerships, resolve internal challenges, and scale up humanitarian projects across the region.

With a background in business and philanthropy, Adedoyin brings both professional acumen and community insight to the role.

His leadership is expected to drive momentum in areas like maternal health, water access, literacy, and peacebuilding—key Rotary focus areas.
