Their discussions focused on how Nigerian tour operators can utilise these transportation networks to boost their businesses and increase domestic travel.

A joint committee was proposed, involving Nigerian tour operators, to create a comprehensive framework aimed at improving domestic tourism.

The collaboration is set to deliver a strategic plan to utilise transport infrastructure for tourism development.

In a related move, the Tourism Minister recently engaged with the Interior Ministry to address visa access for African travellers, working with the Nigerian Immigration Service to ease challenges related to Visa on Arrival.
