Toolz 10th Anniversary celebration sees OAP reflect on marriage journey and shade critics who once mocked her for being unmarried

Nigerian on-air personality Tolu “Toolz” Oniru Demuren, marked her 10th wedding anniversary with a reflective post on Instagram, where she appeared to address past criticism about her marital journey.

Toolz, who is married to pilot Tunde Demuren, shared that she had once been trolled over not being married in her 40s before going on to celebrate a decade of marriage, describing the journey as a moment of gratitude and reflection.

In her post, Toolz expressed appreciation to those who contributed to a photoshoot marking the occasion, noting that the project almost did not hold due to scheduling challenges.

“From ‘she’s in her 40s and unmarried’ last year to celebrating 10 years of marriage this year,” she wrote, describing the milestone as a “miracle” while reflecting on her personal journey.

The celebration also featured a video collage of her wedding day and recent family photos with her husband and children, highlighting what she described as years filled with love, growth, lessons and shared experiences.

The media personality noted that while the journey had not been perfect, it had remained meaningful, adding that she was grateful for choosing to build a life with her partner through different seasons.

As part of the celebration, Toolz revealed that her husband had planned a surprise trip, jokingly adding a playful remark about being “checked on” in case of any unexpected antics during the getaway.

The anniversary comes after previous public reflections in which she shared throwback moments from earlier milestones and discussed challenges surrounding parenting and modern-day pressures.

Toolz and Tunde Demuren tied the knot in June 2016 and have since welcomed two children, both boys, in 2018 and 2020 respectively.
